PixelTorque Manual
Everything you need to launch clean, shift on time and build a faster street car.
Starting the game
PixelTorque checks your Steam ownership when it starts. Make sure Steam is running and you are online, then press Enter on the title screen. If the game stays on the title screen, restart Steam and check your internet connection. If it still doesn't start, ask for help on our Discord or in the Steam discussions.

How a drag race works
- Start the engine and hold the clutch.
- Build revs on the line. Too few RPM bogs the car down; too many spins the tyres.
- Launch when the lights go green by releasing the clutch with the throttle held.
- Shift up at the right RPM. Watch the tachometer and shift just before the redline. Shifting early loses power; hitting the limiter wastes time.
- Use nitro in the higher gears, where it adds the most speed without wheelspin.
Tuning your car
- Engine swaps raise peak power.
- Turbo upgrades add boost but can make the car harder to launch.
- Gear ratios: shorter gears accelerate faster; longer gears give a higher top speed. Tune them for each race distance.
- Dyno: test your setup and check the power curve before racing.
Garage and cars
Buy, sell and collect cars at the dealership, keep them in your garage and give each one a different build. Fuel isn't infinite, so refuel at the gas station between runs.
Story Mode
Play as Amal and take on four underground champions across city streets, industrial zones and neon highways. Beat each champion to move up the circuit.
Online PvP and leaderboards
Race real players head-to-head with cross-platform multiplayer. Your best times go to the global Steam leaderboards.
